Benefits: Flexible working pattern (Working within core hours whilst ensuring 5 days a week in the office) Enhanced holidays Bonus scheme Life assurance Bonus Your New Role As Head of Accounting: Based in the group structure, this strategic and forward-thinking Head of Accounting role will be at the forefront of ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency across the financial reporting process. Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of technical accounting matters within the Group, including compliance management, ensuring regulatory requirements are met and that internal policies are fit for purpose, this position shall work closely with other departments and stakeholders across finance. Key Responsibilities: Technical accounting expert & business partner for the Group on all accounting matters in line with IFRS. Development and maintenance of Group Accounting Policies taxonomy. Develop a mechanism for ensuring compliance to policies across the Group. Ensure relevant technical training is rolled out across multiple teams. Ongoing assessment and report back on accounting standard development & their impact on the Group. Lead on all Technical matters with the Group auditors including but not limited to: PPE Impairment, Goodwill Impairment, Provisions, Share based payments, Acquisition Accounting. Support the monthly, quarterly and annual balance sheet review and compliance requirements. This list is not exhaustive and may be added to or amended from time to time. Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply: The ideal candidate will be an expert in their field, highly intelligent with strong technical accounting skills and a keen attention to detail. They will be looking for further development in a technical accounting and reporting role whilst driving financial reporting excellence. Formally qualified (ACCA ACA CIMA) with a proven track record of improving processes and procedures, you shall also have a proven ability to lead on technical elements of finance in a group setting.
