A Carlisle based services business has partnered with Kenton Black Finance to appoint a new Finance Manager. This brand new role, created due to ongoing business growth and succession planning offers a good balance of technical and commercial accounting duties with plenty of stakeholder interaction.

Managing a team of 2 Accounts Assistants, this role reports to an engaging Head of Finance who will act as a mentor to ensure a seamless transition into the business also facilitating skills development.

Your New Role as Finance Manager:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, as Finance Manager responsibilities will include:

• Line management of 2 Accounts Assistants, overseeing AP and AR duties, providing support, training and mentoring as required
• Preparation of the management accounts pack including commentary and analysis
• Leading the year end and audit process, being the primary point of contact for external stakeholders including auditors
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis to support strategic decision making
• Ongoing review and development of existing systems and processes, ensuring robust controls
• Working cross-functionally across the business, partnering with operational teams to deliver meaningful financial insight, building and maintaining strong working relationships

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or approaching full qualification. Technically strong, you will also have strong commercial acumen with an analytical mindset. Strong business partnering skills are essential as the role involves lots of stakeholder interaction (internal and external).
