The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading UK infrastructure contractor on a major highways project in the North West.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of project activities, ensuring financial targets and contractual obligations are met.
- Manage cost control, forecasting, CVRs and commercial reporting.
- Oversee subcontract procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.
- Administer NEC contracts and manage change, compensation events and commercial risk.
- Identify opportunities to maximise value and protect project profitability.
- Work closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure robust commercial governance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or highways.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
- Experience managing project costs, subcontractors and commercial change.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- A commercially driven approach to project delivery.
