We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join a multi-billion-pound infrastructure programme that will shape the future of the UK's transport network. This flagship project encompasses large-scale heavy civil engineering works, including highways construction, major structures, drainage networks, earthworks, and associated infrastructure.

The Role

  • As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction packages, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Setting out and surveying works using modern surveying equipment and GPS technology.
  • Managing and overseeing construction activities across highways, structures, drainage, and heavy civils packages.
  • Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Producing and maintaining accurate site records, as-built information, and quality documentation.
  • Supporting subcontractors and site teams to achieve programme milestones.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues on site in collaboration with design and construction teams.
  • Assisting with quality assurance processes, inspections, and testing activities.

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major infrastructure, highways, heavy civils, or structural projects.
  • Strong setting-out and surveying capabilities.
  • Experience working with drainage systems, reinforced concrete structures, earthworks, and highway construction.
  • Excellent understanding of construction methods, specifications, and engineering standards.
  • CSCS card as a minimum requirement.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience on major projects valued at £100m+.
  • Knowledge of BIM and digital engineering tools.
