Due to an internal promotion, an Assistant Accountant is required to join a rapidly expanding business in Blackpool.

This is an all-encompassing role which supports the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts and assists the finance team with day-to-day management of financial processes.

Your New Role as Assistant Accountant:
Reporting to a CIMA qualified Finance Manager, duties as Assistant Accountant will include:

  • Support the Finance Manager with monthly management accounts preparation, including preparation of accruals, prepayments and supporting schedules
  • Support in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Monitoring cash flow
  • Oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, providing support to Accounts Assistants as needed
  • The ideal candidate will be actively studying CIMA/ACCA or be AAT qualified and looking to continue studying (full study package will be provided).

You will be well experienced in transactional accounting processes including purchase ledger and sales ledger and already have exposure to month end management accounting with the drive to gain more exposure in this area.

Strong Excel skills are required including MS Excel and knowledge of Sage is advantageous but not essential.
