Due to continued growth, Kentec Training is expanding its in-house instructor team! We are looking for experienced and qualified instructors, or those ready to step into the role, to deliver high quality accredited training courses across health and safety, work at height, and workplace safety.
Training will be delivered at our purpose-built centres in Tonbridge and Ashford in Kent, as well as on our client’s sites across the southeast and beyond. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring delegates gain the skills, knowledge, confidence and competence needed to work safely and ensure they return home at the end of each working day.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a passionate and driven instructor, particularly with experience in training any of the following:
- Health & Safety
- CITB Construction Skills (Site Safety Plus)
- Work at Height Training
- PASMA Mobile Access Tower Training
- Ladder & Stepladder Usage & Inspection (Ladder Association)
- IPAF MEWP Operator Training
- Safety Harness Usage, Harness Inspection and Harness Rescue
- TETRA Ladder Safety Systems
- Workplace Safety
- COSHH
- Asbestos Awareness or Non-Licensed Training (UKATA)
While you do not need experience in all areas - the breadth of your qualifications and instructional experience will be considered. As part of our Trainee Instructor Program, we will guide and develop your skillset to expand the library of courses you can teach and also provide you with a tangible sense of career progression. Applicants must be based in the UK. Any applications from outside the UK will not be considered.

Salary & Benefits
We offer a competitive and negotiable starting salary aligned with industry expectations, along with an extensive benefits package designed to attract and retain exceptional instructional professionals. These benefits include:

- Sick Pay, as well as 33 days paid annual leave – increasing to 35 days after 2 years of uninterrupted service
To be considered for this role, applicants should ideally hold as many of the following qualifications as possible:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent
- Relevant instructor certifications across aforementioned health & safety, work at height, or workplace safety fields
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong communication and presentation skills
- Can engage learners of all backgrounds in both classroom and practical environments
- Possesses excellent organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to maintaining compliance and quality standards
- Is confident working both independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Previous experience delivering IOSH, CITB, PASMA, IPAF, Ladder Association, UKATA, or similar accredited training courses is highly desirable.
