The Contractor will provide independent Construction Consultancy services to support Kent's engineering, estimating, and construction planning teams. The Contractor will operate with full professional autonomy and is not subject to supervision, direction, or control regarding how the services are delivered. The Contractor is engaged to supply defined consultancy outputs and specialist expertise, using their own methods and judgement to meet the required deliverables.
Key Requirements:
- Provide independent, technically robust Construction advisory services during Pre FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design stages, primarily FEED.
- Lead Constructability Reviews and Construction Phase planning, delivering findings and recommendations as formal outputs.
- Take an active part in 3D Model Reviews, ensuring the plant is designed for constructability.
- Provide specialist input on plant layouts, modularisation strategies, construction sequencing, and constructability principles.
- Supply expert guidance for early phase construction planning aligned to recognised industry best practice.
- Provide defined inputs to UK estimating team to support development of early stage estimates.
- Provide defined input to Scopes of Work for EPC contractors, including specification of labour camps and temporary construction facilities.
- Ensure alignment with current construction methodologies and lessons learned as part of the Contractor's own professional expertise.
- Undertake agreed visits to offsite fabrication facilities or module yards and deliver formal assessment reports when required.
- Provide advisory guidance on CDM 2015 Regulations (where relevant to the scope and project phase).
