Overview
Senior Civil / Structural Engineer – Outside IR35 at Kent. Kent is looking for a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in civil/structural engineering for projects in the oil & gas, process plants, green energy and biofuels sectors, both in the UK and overseas. This role involves FEED and Detailed Engineering projects, and requires collaboration across disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering outputs.
Key Deliverables
- Civil / Structural engineering and design aspects for FEED and Detailed Engineering projects
- Oil & Gas and Process Plants projects in UK and overseas
- Green Energy and Biofuels projects in UK and overseas
- Civil / Structural calculations
- Sketches and drawings
- Review and checking of engineering deliverables
- Specifications
- Technical reports
- Scopes of work
- Inputs to drawings and 3D models
- Preparation of MTOs
- Misc technical documentation
- Scope applicable to Civil Works, Piling, Foundations, Steel Structures and Industrial Buildings
Key Requirements
- Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in Civil / Structural Engineering (minimum)
- Chartered Engineer or member of an appropriate professional organization
- Experience in Civil/Structural Engineering related to structures supporting hydrocarbon projects
- FEED, detailed design and EPC projects
- Knowledge and experience of applicable international and industry specifications, standards and codes
- Technical knowledge in the engineering and design of foundations, piling, reinforced concrete structures, steel structures and buildings
- Complementary knowledge of civil and underground engineering and design
- Hands-on experience with engineering software and tools relevant to Civil / Structural Engineering; Staad Pro experience preferred
