Job Description

We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the Woking office four days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic within Engineering.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Performs general mechanical engineering duties within agreed schedules and budgets, with guidance from Lead Engineer.
  • May undertake specific technical studies or assist in technology reviews under supervision.
  • Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure design consistency across the project.
  • Supports the Lead Engineer in identifying technical issues that may affect project progress or budgets.
  • Interfaces with clients under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Works on feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design, or EPC projects with support from Lead Engineer.
  • Provides mechanical input in multi-discipline design reviews and assists in closing out action items.
  • Reviews ITB documents and supports proposal evaluations.
  • Ensures compatibility and compliance with client specifications, recommending improvements within project scope.
  • Adheres to Kent’s ISO-accredited QMS and project-specific procedures, guides, and standards.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee’s skills, capabilities, and role within the organization.

Your knowledge / skills, education and experience:

  • Typically holds a degree in mechanical engineering or post-graduate mechanical engineering qualification. Working towards chartership status is preferred.
  • Experience of working for engineering/client organisations in the oil and gas industry.
  • Exposure to consultancy, FEED / detailed design and EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of applicable international and industry specifications, standards and codes.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality procedures and best practice.
  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
