Job Description:
Kent is looking for an experienced Document Controller to support a major/complex FEED project, ensuring all documentation is managed in accordance with the Contract, within budgeted hours and schedule, and in compliance with project standards. This role is for a duration of 12 months at our Engineering office based in Woking.
Scope of Work:
- Upload and retrieve project documentation using the web‐based system (Aconex).
- Ensure all documentation complies with document management standards, including contractual document numbering practices and electronic repository structure.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project filing systems, logs, and registers.
- Input daily project information into the computer system and produce accurate records.
- Draft correspondence and weekly/monthly project status reports for distribution.
- Coordinate information exchange between PMT and disciplines according to established protocols.
- Maintain organized Document Control, Vendor Document Control, Record Management, Library & Archive, and Construction / Site Office Document Control outputs.
- Ensure all documentation meets Contract, Project, and Client requirements.
- Resolve document‐related issues within the DCC or elevate appropriately, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Submit deliverables to the client in a timely and compliant manner.
- Maintain discipline and timekeeping standards within the DCC to ensure reliable document control operations.
- Complete any additional tasks as specified in the contract, ensuring outputs are delivered to agreed standards.
Key Requirements:
- University Degree in any discipline is essential.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering FEED and/or EPC phase Detailed Design projects as a Document Controller within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Strong people management skills (noting empathy is a critical skill we value).
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills, ability to work in a calm and professional manner.
- Language skills in Arabic (desired but not essential).
