Description
Kent is seeking an Information Manager to join our Engineering office based in Woking for a 16‑month full‑time role.
Scope of Work
Engaged to provide specialist information management services on a major / complex FEED project focusing on implementing effective data controls, flow and reporting to support the engineering team in achieving efficient and successful delivery.
Key Deliverables
- Work with project teams to define requirements, identify data dependencies and relationships, and develop logical and physical data models.
- Create data flow and system activity diagrams and write specifications for managing enterprise information.
- Communicate and engage with the project team to understand all reporting data and information needs.
- Liaise with Information Technology to develop data collection and reports as directed by the project.
- Develop plans and materials to support user adoption and training.
- Support technical resources to ensure all aspects of information analysis and requirements gathering are completed with a high degree of accuracy and quality.
- Support ad‑hoc data requests and information requests.
- Implement rollout plans for data reporting tools, involving training end users and securing ongoing buy‑in and use of the system.
- Develop key documentation, user guides and other training materials.
- Perform clerical duties such as typing, copying, compiling data, maintaining and filing records and reports, and handling paperwork.
Key Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of industry standard engineering tools (e.g. AVEVA SmartPlant 3D) and consolidation enterprise tools such as Foundation and ERM.
- Capable of performing duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
- Understands project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets through the project progress measurement system.
- Capable of using initiative, knowledge and experience to recognise, highlight and address opportunities and threats as they emerge.
