About the job
Kent is looking for a Graduate Asset Integrity Systems Engineer to be based in Aberdeen. As part of the team you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from technical experts, contributing to a variety of technically challenging and exciting projects. You will develop knowledge and experience by contributing to Asset Integrity projects across a broad spectrum of clients and industries, including oil & gas and renewables, and may have the opportunity to visit offshore installations worldwide.

The Kent Asset Integrity (AI) and Multidisciplinary team provides technical engineering consultancy to the energy and chemical industry, tackling problems related to asset integrity, life extension and carbon footprint reduction across conventional oil and gas as well as the energy transition.

Skills & Responsibilities
- Function as part of a team of engineers and provide assistance to other engineers or work under close supervision.
- Work with discipline‑related industry codes & standards.
- Complete the Kent Graduate Development Programme.
- Assist in developing life extension plans for ageing assets.
- Improve asset efficiency through inspection activities, risk‑based inspection scopes and operational support.
- Interface directly with clients, representing the team to discuss engineering solutions to complex problems.
- Support external markets, business development and work‑winning activities.
- Undertake specific tasks/areas of work as directed by the lead/principal/senior engineer.
- Execute allocated tasks within the requirements of the project execution plan.
- Execute work in compliance with client specifications, Kent’s ISO‑accredited QMS, and project‑specific procedures, guidelines and standards.
- Provide input to preparation of deliverables by other engineers.
- Support decision‑making by other engineers.
- Perform other ad‑hoc tasks as required, within the scope of your skills and responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree (MEng or equivalent) in Systems Engineering or a related discipline. Degrees must be accredited by IMechE/EI or recognised by the Engineering Council.
Communication
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with team members and clients.
- Excellent command of the English language in oral and written communication.
