Kent’s Environment Team welcomes expressions of interest from experienced environmental professionals who are working on a freelance/contracting basis in the UK, to support the team’s growth and workload. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and support the sustainable energy transition.
We welcome interest from UK-based environmentalists who specialise in supporting projects at the decommissioning phase across onshore and offshore projects. We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals with skills and experience in:
- Oil and gas sector decommissioning
- Decommissioning plans, derogations and comparative assessments
- Offshore / marine works consenting
- Environmental permitting
- Environmental engineering, including delivering ENVIDs and BAT studies
- Offshore international experience would be an added benefit
At this stage, we are open to hearing from environmentalists interested in working in a staff role or on a contract basis. Please specify the basis you are interested in as part of your application.
The deliverables and services required will vary depending on the project and scope required. However, at a broad basis, the following will be required:
- Coordinating and undertaking environmental assessments and appraisals
- Report writing to a high standard, for both internal and external audiences
- Close liaison with internal and external project stakeholders
- Management of and/or input to Project Management documents
