Are you looking for a future career in teaching? Would you like to gain classroom experience to support your future career aspirations? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a good school and a very strong team from February 2026. The role will involve responsibility for children's learning as directed by the Senior Leadership Team/Class Teacher. You must be able to support children across the school from Early Years to Year 6.

Staplehurst School is a large village primary school with lovely children and excellent facilities. We are currently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team.

The positions will be part time, 31.25 hours a week. HLTAs will be paid on Kent Scheme C or D depending on whether HLTA qualified. We highly recommend viewing the school prior to application. In order to do so, please call the School Office and ask to speak to the Headteacher, Mrs Wall.
