Salary: NJC Scale 2/3 Points 3-6, 28 hours per week, term time 193 days only. Initial Fixed Term Contract for 1 academic year.
Having secured external funding through KCC’s Communities of Schools, we are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a Key Stage 3, Key Skills specialist pathway class. The role will involve working with students aged 11 - 14 who have a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities, with many of the students having Education Health Care Plans.
The successful candidate will be ideally confident to support student learning experiences across all areas of need and work with our specialist SEND teachers in and out of classrooms. You will become part of a team around a specific class and have students you are a trusted adult and key worker for. The role is heavily student facing but does require contributions to student reviews and associated paperwork throughout the year.
It is necessary for the candidate to have qualifications in Maths/Numeracy or English/Literacy equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2.
