We are looking to appoint an outstanding and committed SEND Teacher to join our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). Our SRP has an autism designation and meets the needs of 18 children who are placed in our provision, alongside other children within our mainstream school who have complex needs. Our children are exceptional, and it is a privilege to spend each day with them. This is a particularly exciting time to be joining our school as we are developing a bespoke curriculum designed to meet our children’s language and learning needs, providing them with a high quality, multisensory curriculum offer.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching underpinned by strong pedagogy and evidence-based practice
  • Develop and deliver a curriculum to meet our children’s specific needs
  • Confidently use and promote a Total Communication approach (e.g. AAC, visual supports, signing, symbols)
  • Lead, direct and deploy support staff effectively to maximise pupil outcomes, including developing and overseeing interventions
  • Take responsibility for creating and maintaining a safe, structured and engaging classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and supportive team
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and next steps
  • Take responsibility for overseeing the statutory processes for identified children within the SRP, overseeing Annual Reviews, maintaining provision plans and liaising with external professionals
  • Share expertise with the wider school staff through inreach

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
