Midday Meals Supervisor and Morning Welcomer, Sevenoaks
We are looking for one or possibly two people to fill two vacancies in our school. Firstly we are looking for a kind, caring, reliable and child‑centred individual to serve lunches to the children on the three lunch times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Our meals are not cooked on site, so the role will involve checking the food as it arrives, laying the tables, serving food and then clearing away at the end. No previous experience is required but we are looking for someone who will enjoy spending time with the children and supporting them during the lunch period. The hours will be between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
Secondly, we are looking for someone to work on our playground five mornings a week between the hours of 8.30am and 9.30am as our Morning Welcomer, welcoming families onto the school playground, encouraging children to make their way independently into school, liaising with teaching staff regarding any messages from parents and generally being a warm and friendly face for children at the start of each day. This could suit someone who enjoys working with children and families and getting to know everyone in a small, school community.
These are two lovely opportunities which could be combined to make one position for the right candidate. If you would like to work in a small, friendly school with a supportive and dedicated staff team and to play a vital role in the smooth running of the school, please do contact the Headteacher for further information or for an informal chat about it.
