The Royal Harbour Academy is seeking to appoint a vibrant, enthusiastic, and reliable Site Assistant who shares our belief that every child and young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe and supportive learning environment. This is a key role within the school, supporting the smooth running, safety, and presentation of our site during weekends and looking after the school lettings.
Key Responsibilities
- Site security and safety, including acting as a key holder (locking and unlocking the premises)
- General property and site maintenance, including minor repairs and redecoration
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness across the site
- Grounds maintenance
- Supporting school lettings
- Compliance duties, including fire alarm testing and water temperature checks
- Setting up examination desks when required
- Maintaining accurate Health & Safety and compliance records
Person Specification
- Be physically fit, as the role involves moving furniture
- Possess good DIY and maintenance skills
- Have knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
- Demonstrate basic IT skills
- Have an understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Take pride in maintaining the school site to a very high standard, both internally and externally
