We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our caring and committed team at Mundella Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for Early Years education to work within either our Preschool or EYFS (Reception) classes, depending on experience and school need.

Post Details

  • 31.25 hours per week (8.30am-3.15pm)
  • Term time only plus one week (flexible working considered)
  • KSB (Veritas Range 4) pro-rata: £ (FTE £25126)
  • Fixed for one year to 31st January, 2027

About the Role

At Mundella, we recognise that the early years are a crucial stage in a child’s development. As part of our dedicated EYFS team, you will help create a nurturing, stimulating and enriching environment where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn. Working alongside our Early Years leader, experienced TAs and colleagues, you will support teaching and learning by providing both general classroom/preschool support and targeted interventions for individuals and small groups. You will play a vital role in helping children develop key early skills, independence and confidence. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for Early Years, who is ready for a new challenge within a friendly and supportive school.

  • Has experience working in an EYFS setting (Preschool or Reception)
  • Understands child development and the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Values every child as an individual and puts their needs at the centre of all practice
  • Makes learning fun, purposeful and appropriately challenging
  • Brings enthusiasm, creativity and a positive attitude to daily practice
  • Works effectively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Is ambitious, reflective and keen to contribute to whole-school improvement
  • Builds strong relationships with children, families and staff to support the best possible outcomes

We are also keen to hear from candidates who bring specific experience in speech and language support, SEND, early communication, or school-readiness development.
