Are you a qualified or aspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who can show initiative and enjoys working with children? We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers and leaders to help pupils achieve their full potential. The hours for this role are 8.45-3.15pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality learning experiences, including leading whole class sessions during teacher PPA and absence cover where appropriate.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, nurturing learning environment.
  • Deliver engaging and purposeful learning experiences across the primary age range.
  • Support the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging learning activities.
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt learning and meet the needs of all children.
  • Promote confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours in children.
  • Support the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and its inclusive ethos.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
