At Ripplevale School, we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and resilient Learning Support Assistant at our Upper School in Ripple, Deal for our Secondary pupils. If you are passionate about working with children with ASD, then this role is for you.

The post is full time or part time. The hours are 8.30am – 3.45pm, term time only, plus inset hours for training. Start date: 1st September 2026.

Our pupils cover a wide range of academic abilities, as a Learning Support Assistant you will be supporting pupils with autism in all areas of the curriculum under the guidance of the class teacher.

Ripplevale School is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Have an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and the successful candidate, as per KCSIE will also be subjected to have an online search undertaken, this is also considered for all shortlisted candidates.
  • Ensure you are aware of all Ripplevale School’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies and abide by those policies (names and points of contact for all relevant agencies can be found in the policies).
  • Participate in all Child Protection & Safeguarding training as required by the school.
  • Immediately report any incidents of a Safeguarding and Child Protection nature.
  • Be aware that failure by a member of staff to report actual or suspected physical, sexual or emotional abuse or neglect of a pupil is a disciplinary offence.
