We are looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to work alongside the Lead Teacher in our well‑established Alternative Provision at The North School.
Responsibilities
- Providing pastoral support to students in the Alternative Provision
- Delivering interventions to individual students and small groups
- Supporting students in making good choices regarding their behaviour and learning
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are implemented on a daily basis
- Communicating with staff members, external agencies, and parents
- Keeping high‑quality and accurate records, including interventions, communication logs, and the Alternative Provision database
- Providing support within the school environment, including participation in some mainstream lessons
- Supporting students in completing a variety of projects in the Alternative Provision such as publishing a school magazine, enterprise projects, and school trips
