KS2/KS3 Teacher – Specialist ASD Provision Are you a passionate, patient, and resilient teacher who thrives on making a difference? This is a forward-thinking, inclusive special school dedicated to meeting the needs of children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated social, emotional, and communication differences. We are seeking a dedicated and creative KS2/KS3 Teacher to join our skilled multidisciplinary team and help shape the learning journey of our pupils. As a teacher in our ASD provision, you will: Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging, and accessible lessons across the KS2 and/or KS3 curriculum, tailored to the individual learning profiles of students. Foster a positive, nurturing, and structured classroom environment where every child feels safe, understood, and celebrated. Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other professionals to provide a truly holistic educational experience. Contribute to EHCP reviews, behaviour and communication plans, and termly progress reports. Promote and embed communication-friendly strategies, sensory regulation, and emotional literacy into daily practice. Build strong relationships with families, carers, and external professionals to support each child’s development and wellbeing. We are looking for someone who is: A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (NQTs/ECTs welcome to apply). Experienced (or keen to gain experience) in working with pupils with ASD, SEMH, communication needs, or in a special school setting. Ability to teach KS2 and access the KS3 curriculum for core subjects. A reflective practitioner with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles. Calm, consistent, and nurturing – with excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills. Committed to ongoing CPD and professional growth, with a passion for inclusive education. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This is a large special school for pupils from KS1 to Post 16, all of whom have a diagnosis of Autism and/or PMLD and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
