Physical Location: Kent Campus - Kent, OH

Salary: $53,015 - $58,819

Basic Function: Supports Kent State University’s integrated creative efforts by producing high level digital content across design, multimedia and motion. Develops content for campaigns, brand, social media, web, email and events. Mentors team members, establishes creative standards and collaborates with leadership on conceptual and strategic creative development. Reports to Associate Creative Director.

Examples of Duties: Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Lead creative execution for high-visibility campaigns and digital storytelling initiatives.
  • Produce advanced design, video and motion assets with strong conceptual grounding.
  • Provide guidance, feedback and informal mentoring to team members.
  • Ensure brand continuity and quality across platforms and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with creative leadership on concept development and visual direction.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in digital formats and emerging media.
  • Provide direct supervision to student employees.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in visual communication, or a related field and two years' professional experience in digital content creation or related area.

Knowledge Of:

  • Industry and Adobe Creative applications foundations
  • Visual design principles and digital storytelling
  • All aspects of design, animation or motion graphics
  • Brand guidelines and consistent visual style execution

Skill In:

  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools and techniques
  • Design, multimedia and motion
  • Organizational and file management habits
  • Communication and collaboration
  • Graphic design, video production/editing and motion graphics
  • Leadership, communication and collaboration

  • Work with multiple file formats, aspect ratios and platform requirements

Preferred Qualifications: Experience creating content for social media or digital platforms.

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM or otherwise discussed with your supervisor.
