The Department of Management within the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Kent State University seeks qualified candidates to apply for a non-tenure-track position in Management effective Fall 2026 with a start date of August 20, 2026.

Examples of Duties:

  • The candidate will primarily teach courses in Human Resource Management (e.g., HRM, HR Analytics and ERP Analytics, Staffing, Global HR) as well as Organizational Behavior and other management courses such as Advanced Professional Development, and Organizational Mentoring, as needed and depending on the qualifications of the candidate.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates with a PhD or DBA degree in business or management with a concentration in human resource management, organizational behavior, or equivalent terminal degree in the management field.
  • For candidates with a doctoral degree earned prior to May 2022, evidence of recent professional activities that allow them to maintain currency in the field is required.
  • All-But-Dissertation (ABD) doctoral students are also encouraged to apply if they are highly likely to earn their terminal degree before Fall 2026.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of effective teaching is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
  • Incumbent must be able to communicate with others.
  • Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
