The daily Bookkeeper routine is varied and interesting, as you will work with a portfolio of clients from various business sectors. The firm has scope to develop the department and attract new business, so your role could grow and you could take on additional responsibility.
This successful accountancy practice seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to supervise their client bookkeeping service. This is a full- or part-time position, offering flexibility and the option to work from home one day a week.
As the Bookkeeping Supervisor, you will cover:
- Supervising a small team and some outsourced services
- Dealing directly with a client portfolio
- Bookkeeping through to the trial balance stage
- Helping clients prepare for MTDE
- Extensive use of Xero - setting up Xero for clients and advising them on how to use it
- Completing CIS returns
- VAT preparation and returns, and review VAT issues
Previous experience working within an accountant's practice or a bookkeeping company is essential. AAT or bookkeeping qualifications will be beneficial. Or, if you are a self-employed bookkeeper working alone and want to explore returning to the support and stability of an employed position, then we would be delighted to talk with you.
The Bookkeeper position offers some flexibility over start and finish times. The standard office hours are 8.30 - 4.30 with a 30-minute lunch break. There is on-site parking at the office.
