About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated Digital Forensic Specialist to join our team at Ashford Police Station. You will play a critical role in supporting investigations by forensically examining digital storage devices and producing high-quality, court-ready technical reports. This is a fixed-site role working a shift pattern (not 24/7), including one weekend in every six. The position operates within ISO 17025 quality standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct forensic examinations of seized digital devices
  • Produce detailed technical reports and evidential statements
  • Provide expert guidance to investigators on proportionate digital device examination
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 17025 and quality documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the digital forensic team

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong experience in digital forensics
  • Proficiency with industry-standard forensic tools and methods
  • Significant knowledge of computer hardware, OS, and data storage formats
  • Experience working in or towards an ISO 17025 environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior court experience
  • Familiarity with digital forensic accreditation and audit processes

Shift Pattern:

  • AM: 0700 – 1500
  • PM: 1200 – 2000
  • Weekend: 0800 – 1600 (1 in 6)
