About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated Digital Forensic Specialist to join our team at Ashford Police Station. You will play a critical role in supporting investigations by forensically examining digital storage devices and producing high-quality, court-ready technical reports. This is a fixed-site role working a shift pattern (not 24/7), including one weekend in every six. The position operates within ISO 17025 quality standards.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct forensic examinations of seized digital devices
- Produce detailed technical reports and evidential statements
- Provide expert guidance to investigators on proportionate digital device examination
- Maintain compliance with ISO 17025 and quality documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the digital forensic team
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong experience in digital forensics
- Proficiency with industry-standard forensic tools and methods
- Significant knowledge of computer hardware, OS, and data storage formats
- Experience working in or towards an ISO 17025 environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- Prior court experience
- Familiarity with digital forensic accreditation and audit processes
Shift Pattern:
- AM: 0700 – 1500
- PM: 1200 – 2000
- Weekend: 0800 – 1600 (1 in 6)
