Our award-winning Campaigns Team at Essex Police is looking for an enthusiastic, creative and collaborative individual to join us. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and delivering high-profile campaigns and community events for Essex Police, working both at Force level and in close partnership with organisations across the county. You will help plan and deliver impactful communications and behaviour-change campaigns that support Force priorities, protect vulnerable people and help keep communities safe.
You will also help promote the great work of Essex Police, ensuring our communications reflect the voices, concerns and experiences of local communities. Working closely with partners, local authorities, businesses and volunteer networks, you will help strengthen engagement, share insight and co-deliver campaigns that have real impact across Essex.
You will be confident in delivering both campaigns and events, bringing strong storytelling skills and a clear understanding of how to use the most effective channels and approaches to reach a wide range of audiences and support Force and partnership objectives.
What we are looking for:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a marketing, PR or communications role.
- Experience of planning, creating, delivering and evaluating campaigns and events.
- Strong partnership-working skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
In addition, it would be helpful if you could evidence:
- A recognised qualification in journalism, PR, marketing or campaigns.
This role is based at Chelmsford Headquarters. It will also require travel across the county to meet teams and partners, so access to a vehicle is desirable.
