We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the Woking office four days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic within Engineering.
Skills & Responsibilities
- Reporting to the lead engineer on feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design, or EPC project.
- Typically technically responsible for a small/mediumâsized project or an area of work on larger projects, and supervises the preparation of specific deliverables.
- Undertaking specific tasks/area of work as defined by the lead/principal engineer or group manager.
- Liaises with other disciplines to achieve design consistency for the Project.
- Supports the Project Management Team in planning and identifying technical issues that could limit progress and impact project budgets.
- Interfacing with the client.
- Provides necessary input and support to project progress and reporting.
- Supports the discipline group manager with the development of discipline engineers and ensuring technical excellence.
- Works to the requirements of the Mechanical Design Manual and project requirements.
- Participates in factory acceptance tests, also supporting Engineers as required for Vendor issues.
- Reviews ITB documents and supports proposal evaluations.
- Ensures compatibility and compliance with client specifications, recommending improvements within project scope.
- Adheres to Kent's ISOâaccredited QMS and projectâspecific procedures, guides, and standards.
- In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other adâhoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management.
Your knowledge, skills, education and experience:
- Typically holds a degree in mechanical engineering or postâgraduate mechanical engineering qualification.
- Working towards chartership is advantageous.
- Experience of working for engineering/client organisations in the oil and gas industry.
- Exposure to consultancy, FEED/detailed design, and EPC projects.

- Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
