Scope of Work: Kent is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to be based in Woking on an Outside IR35 contract basis.
Deliverables: Engineering from Pre-FEED through FEED and potential into detailed engineering for which we have Engineering between multiple Kent offices including Woking and India offices. The Senior PE must have design experiences relevant to low carbon and/or conventional oil & gas business. Able to coordinate multi-discipline teams and work with the Project Manager and Controls Manager to ensure delivery of the project. The Senior PE will have good engineering coordination skills. Able to coordinate changes using change management and ensure project reporting is strictly maintained. Able to support the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) to monitor and control project budgets and report to Project Management any concerns on meeting project performance indicators.
Key Requirements: Can successfully support the PEM to ensure good, healthy relations for External (e.g., Client facing stakeholders) and the Internal (e.g. Lead disciplines, Engineering centers) on a project. This also includes project controls, procurement, and third-party contractors or suppliers. Capable of performing duties with minimal direct supervision, as needed, from the PEM. Will be accountable to the PEM or Project Manager for all works performed. Will work within agreed schedules and budgets. Familiar with Change management if required on a project. Has appreciation of multi-discipline engineering design activities. Supports the coordination of all disciplines to achieve design consistency and delivery of all project documentation. Coordinates between disciplines and provides all necessary input and support to project progress and reporting. Where necessary, the Senior Project Engineer works under the supervision of the Project Manager and/or Project Engineering Manager to ensure delivery of this project from Pre-FEED through to Detail design stages (as appropriate to the Client scope). Corporate reporting line is to respective Departmental/Group Manager. Supports the Project Manager to ensure compatibility and conformance with Client specifications and recommends cost effective improvements to equipment selection/specifications within the scope of client specifications and requirements. Participates in and supports the Project Engineering manager to coordinate multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews and assists in providing all necessary input and approval to close out of actions. Provides assistance as and when required in the strategic procurement planning including for long lead items enquiry. Supports the Project Manager to coordinate resources and engineering delivery between multiple Kent offices.
