Job Description
Kent is looking for a Senior Piping and Layout Engineer to join our multidisciplinary Engineering team based in Woking. The duration is for 6 months with a possibility of extension.
Scope of Work:
- Assist in the development of layout concepts and supporting sketches.
- Originate site plan and unit plot plans in accordance with project requirements.
- Prepare layout and utility plan (LUP) sketches to support design development.
- Develop and issue 3D model CAD design instructions for implementation.
- Coordinate piping designers within the designated area or unit to ensure consistency and progress.
- Organize and lead 3D model reviews, ensuring all review comments are addressed and closed.
- Facilitate cross-discipline coordination for the designated area or unit to resolve interfaces and ensure alignment.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and significant experience in working in relevant industry sectors
- Exposure to Pipe Materials consultancy, Pre-FEED / FEED/ detailed engineering design and EPC projects
- In depth knowledge of applicable international and industry specifications, standards, and codes
- Knowledge of safety and quality procedures and best practice
- Specialist/high competency in specific areas of Piping Material engineering
- Global work share coordination and management experience
- Excellent coordination, monitoring and supervisory skills. Excellent communication skills
- Tactful in resolving issues.
- Alertness and attention to detail.
