Scope of Work: Kent is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Woking on an outside IR35 contract basis.

Deliverables:

  • Design the electrical distribution systems in a project team environment with a focus on studies, Front End (FEED) design, detailed design for new plants.
  • Prepare Electrical equipment specifications, data sheets and purchasing requisitions.
  • Develop/Coordinate protective relay settings and coordination studies.
  • Load List and Electrical equipment sizing.
  • Design of LV & MV Single Line Diagrams with strong knowledge of Relay & Metering systems associated with substations and e-houses.
  • Design of motor protection and control schematics/wiring diagrams.
  • Review vendor designs for compliance with Technical Specifications and applicable standards.
  • Coach and support the team members on projects.
  • Provide Electrical BOMs and major equipment costs for capital cost estimates at various project stages (Feasibility Study, PDB and Detailed Engineering).
  • Establish the scope of work for projects/proposals, developing engineering cost estimates and deliverable lists.
  • Attend project team meetings, Client meetings and vendor review meetings as required.
  • Establish a good working relationship with the Clients.
  • Review designs for constructability and accordance with project requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Typically Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working for Engineering / Client organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Exposure to Consultancy, FEED / Detailed Design and EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of international equipment specifications and codes.
  • In depth knowledge of standard international specifications and codes.
  • Knowledge of Safety and Quality procedures.
  • Activity Scheduling and discipline work priorities.
