Are you a qualified Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist seeking a new maternity cover opportunity? This role supports the development of the At‑Risk Mental State (ARMS) service, a new EIP service in West Kent designed to delay or prevent the transition to psychosis in 14‑to‑35‑year‑olds. As part of a multidisciplinary team—Clinical Service Manager, Psychologists, CBTp Therapists, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Community Mental Health Practitioners—you will provide comprehensive assessment and psychosocial intervention for young people at ultra‑high risk of developing psychosis.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting clinical assessments of young people with At‑Risk Mental States using a dedicated assessment tool, for which training and support will be provided.
  • Delivering tailored psychosocial interventions and monitoring co‑existing difficulties.
  • Contributing to formulation and treatment planning in collaboration with psychologists and CBT therapists.

Qualifications

  • Qualified and registered Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist.
  • Significant experience working with service users with mental health problems.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills.
  • Knowledge of a range of interventions suitable for people with At‑Risk Mental States.
