Kent is looking for an Offshore Wind Market Director to be based in any of our UK offices. The Offshore Wind Market Director is a key leadership role and will collaborate with the Offshore Wind Technical Director and our global technical experts in being accountable for growing our activities in this sector, winning work and profitable delivery of our projects.
You will be joining a company with:

The position can be based in any of our UK offices: London, Woking, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen. Kent would consider flexible working arrangements. Skills & Responsibilities:
The over-arching objective is to take the Company established OSW market offer, stabilize it and grow its scale and capability to maximize its contribution to the business and to decarbonizing the world’s energy supply. This includes:
- Identifying project opportunities, winning them and delivering the work profitably and to the client requirements.
- Developing trusted and durable relationships with clients, to deeply understand the market and client drivers and translate these into opportunities.
- Developing the OSW strategy, propositions and capability, steering market focused activity using resources from across all company sectors and joint ventures through cross selling to access more of the addressable spend.
- Ensuring the full technical capability of the Company is understood, sold and deployed to this rapidly growing sector in core countries and by following key clients to new but sustainable locations.
- Overseeing business development and successful bidding to create a sustainable long-term pipeline of work.
- Assessing the market and innovating the company services and technical approaches to build a robust and resilient market-facing organisation.
- Assisting in the identification and recruitment of key roles.
- Protecting and building the company's market reputation for value, excellence, and timely delivery.
- Taking accountability for the stabilization, promotion, and growth of the OSW team.
- Building on the sector reputation for the Company, translating market changes and developments into opportunities for the Company.
- Monitoring competitor activity, responding/pre-empting as required.
- Maintaining accountability for delivery against client commitments and meeting cost, time and quality objectives.
- Ensuring that the Company responds to create new propositions for the market and key clients.
- Developing strategic partnerships with key clients in the market, encouraging Company to contribute to the client’s success and developing a sustainable, long-term relationship.
- Developing a cross-sector project execution strategy to secure and deliver ever larger projects ensuring appropriate use of resources from different sectors.
- Driving growth in market share, identifying and engaging with new target clients.
- Proactively identifying and developing cross selling opportunities and propositions across the Company.
- Developing the Company brand and reputation, stimulating the market with insights, thought leadership and innovation.
- Being an ambassador for the business; attending and speaking at relevant events, where appropriate.
- Developing alliances and partnerships that drive significant growth in this area.
