An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to lead the new Kent and Medway Assertive Outreach Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead establishment and overall management of the county‑wide Assertive Outreach Service, ensuring excellent clinical, operational and financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other providers and stakeholders to create seamless patient pathways and promote service user engagement.
  • Use data and analysis to support patient outcomes and coordinate initiatives to develop and implement improvement plans.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and growth, working with the General Manager to maximise them and deputising for the GM when required.
  • Provide assurance of clinical quality, patient safety, satisfaction and outcomes in partnership with Professional Heads, Service Director and General Manager.
  • Investigate serious incidents, complaints, and staffing issues; manage appraisal, supervision and training; and ensure compliance with mandatory reporting.
  • Work closely with Team Managers or equivalent to ensure effective care pathways, conduct regular reviews, and deliver strategic and operational plans.
  • Ensure good patient flow management using demand and capacity data, length‑of‑stay metrics, caseload management and adherence to agreed clinical pathways.
  • Embed clinical governance arrangements within services and monitor their effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a private vehicle for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and improvement planning.
  • Ability to deputise for the General Manager and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
