Are you a dedicated and proactive Health Visitor who has expert knowledge and experience of assessing and supporting pregnant women? If you are, we would like to hear from you as we have an exciting opportunity for you to develop, lead and sustain a newly funded "Pregnant Women Pathway" for Liaison, Diversion & Reconnect (LDR) for pregnant women who come into contact with the Criminal Justice System. This funding is for a 2‑year fixed term and is subject to review by Commissioners for LDR. The role is based at the Red House in Maidstone but will involve engagement with our clients and partners through Kent and Medway.

Person Specification
Training and qualifications and registration (Essential)
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) qualification
- Professional Registration (Midwife/Adult, Child, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse)
Further training (Desirable)
- Postgraduate (MSc) or equivalent level
Experience (Essential)
- Minimum of 3 years post registration experience in the professional area
- Liaising with a variety of stakeholders including Health & Social Care partners
- Extensive clinical experience with individuals/families with a new baby
- Completing holistic assessments in partnership with individuals/families
Experience (Desirable)
- Minimum 2 years working within a community setting
- Experience with the criminal justice system
- Training and facilitation skills
Knowledge and Skills (Essential)
- Excellent communication, networking and IT skills
- Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures and policies relating to Health & Social Care
- Advanced understanding and expertise in risk assessment, risk management and safeguarding
- Ability to work autonomously and co‑operatively as part of a multi‑agency team
Knowledge and Skills (Desirable)
- Support for maternal and infant mental health
- Ability to guide and motivate others in clinical aspects and through periods of change
