Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children from abuse. The safeguarding team supports front‑line staff and ensures that high‑risk domestic abuse concerns are managed with appropriate multi‑agency action plans.
Responsibilities
- Represent KMMH at Multi‑Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC), share mental health perspectives, and ensure action plans reflect care needs in high‑risk domestic abuse cases.
- Participate in the MARAC case‑management system, monitor and collate statistics, and support audit activities across the Trust.
- Conduct data collection and research related to MARAC, document findings in client RiO records, and share outcomes with KMMH professionals.
- Provide training, learning events, and support service needs around safeguarding and MARAC, delivering both face‑to‑face and media‑based training packages.
- Maintain contemporaneous records, audit activity, and ensure compliance with safeguarding obligations.
- Provide flexible support cover, travel as required, and use video‑conferencing technology.
- Work in an isolated/lone setting for data input, ensuring secure handling of information.
- Give and receive feedback on training delivery, actively improving training packages.
- Keep professional representation of KMMH, maintaining IT proficiency (Excel, Word) and excellent record‑keeping skills.
Qualifications
- Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes (unless disability under the Equality Act 2010).
- Experience in mental health services is advantageous; essential skill is capturing and sharing information from mental health professionals.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel databases and Word, and excellent record‑keeping.
- Confidence and enthusiasm for training delivery and working with staff.
