The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Matron for Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Physical Health to support the Trust-wide agenda for physical health and infection control. They will ensure changing priorities in physical care, particularly for patients with complex needs, are addressed promptly, safely, and effectively. Acting as deputy for the Matron when required, the post holder will lead the coordination and development of high-quality physical health and IPC services across the organisation. They will embed clinical governance principles, provide strong leadership, and empower team members while delegating responsibility appropriately to maintain safe, effective, and compliant care. As a highly specialised member of the Physical Health and IPC team, supporting the management of patients with complex physical health needs alongside infection prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing interventions to reduce infection incidence.
- Monitoring, auditing, and evaluating infection control and physical health care delivery.
- Developing and updating specialised protocols, policies, and guidance to meet evolving patient needs.
- Delivering training and education to staff on infection prevention and physical health care, including best practices for managing patients with multiple or complex conditions.
Qualifications
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
