Family Hubs are part of Kent County Council's offer to support children and young people, aged 0β19 (25 SEND), and their families. Our local Family Hubs offer a broad and integrated range of early help services for families, which include midwifery, health visiting, parenting support and activities for children and young people. We have 56 Family Hubs across Kent, and we operate alongside our partners to support local communities.
Responsibilities
- The Business Support Assistant will be based in the Ashford District and will support a range of busy Family Hubs.
- Key duties include greeting, welcoming and signposting families, acting as the first point of contact for staff, visitors and partners, supporting the opening and closing of hubs, maintaining health & safety processes and reporting any building faults.
- You will also manage sensitive information, check and record data, arrange meetings and handle a variety of administrative tasks.
- Flexibility to travel and work across the District, including Tenterden, is required.
Qualifications
- A confident telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills.
- A flexible attitude to working across a wide geographical area.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT applications.
- Experience of dealing with customers, with a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job.
- Ability to travel across the District in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day.
