Dispenser (Maternity Cover) β 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Dispenser to join our busy GP practice team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and patient-focused environment, helping to ensure that our dispensing patients receive their medications safely, accurately and efficiently.
Hours of Work
- Tuesday: 1.00pm β 6.00pm
- Friday: 8.00am β 6.00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
About the Role
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of our dispensary, including:
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately and safely
- Assisting patients with medication enquiries
- Maintaining dispensing records
- Managing stock and ordering medicines
- Supporting medicines management and audit activities
- Working closely with GPs, pharmacists and the wider practice team
What Weβre Looking For
- Essential:
- Previous dispensing experience or NHS experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Qualified Dispenser or equivalent dispensing qualification
- Previous GP practice or community pharmacy experience
- Knowledge of EMIS Web
