We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Part-Time Receptionist to join our busy GP surgery on a maternity cover basis. This is a patient-facing role, ideal for someone who works well under pressure and who enjoys working with people and can remain calm, discrete and professional in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients at reception
  • Answering telephone calls and booking appointments
  • Managing patient enquiries and directing them appropriately
  • Updating patient records and handling confidential information in accordance with GDPR and NHS guidelines
  • Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team as needed

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident using computers and clinical systems (experience with GP systems desirable but not essential)
