Len Valley Practice is a friendly, forward-thinking rural dispensing practice committed to providing high-quality patient care to our local community.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Dispenser to join our dedicated dispensary team.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and organised Dispenser who is passionate about delivering a safe, efficient, and patient-focused dispensing service.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy dispensary while working closely with the Lead Dispenser to ensure high standards of patient care and effective financial control.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of prescriptions, including the preparation of monitored dosage systems (NOMAD trays), ensuring all medicines are supplied in line with legal and professional standards.

You will provide a friendly and confidential service to patients, respond to prescription and medication queries, and work closely with the wider practice team to ensure the smooth operation of the dispensary.

The role also includes receiving and managing pharmaceutical stock, maintaining accurate records, monitoring stock levels and expiry dates, supporting controlled drug processes, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and data protection requirements.

You will contribute to the ongoing organisation of the dispensary and support the training and development of colleagues where appropriate.

Applicants should have previous dispensing experience, ideally within a GP dispensing practice or community pharmacy.

A recognised dispensing qualification and an understanding of dispensing regulations are desirable.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and patient care.

If you have the relevant skills and experience and are looking to join a supportive and welcoming practice, we would love to hear from you.

Please note this role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
