Job Summary: This role provides clinical and administrative support for patients on your list, including NHS contractual work (QOF, DES, LES, and LIS). You will also undertake Improved Access (IA) sessions by agreement, with some sessions potentially during normal working hours due to upcoming changes. The role includes 18 duty days per year, spread across the week and aligned with usual PM working days.
Administration & Workflow Cover: You will be responsible for Docman and workflow management, including covering annual and sick leave. Cover is based on sessional commitment (e.g. a 6-session GP requires equivalent workflow/Docman cover across AL and SL periods). Docman and workflow cover are provided separately, equating to approximately 14 weeks cover in total.
Session Structure: A standard session is 4 hours 10 minutes (250 minutes): ¾ clinical time (187.5 minutes). Clinical time is adjusted for meetings and visits, resulting in approximately 162.5–167.5 minutes per session. On duty days, an additional 30 minutes is allocated in the morning to support duty doctor preparation.
