Practice Nurse with Respiratory in Hawkinge

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive primary care team. The successful candidate will provide high quality nursing care to our patient population, supporting both acute and long term condition management (Respiratory).

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence based care, health promotion and screening services. The role includes immunisations, cervical screening, wound care and supporting patients to manage chronic conditions.

We welcome applications from experienced Practice Nurses or nurses with transferable skills who are keen to develop within primary care.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for providing evidence-based nursing care including:

• Chronic disease management (Respiratory)
• Cervical cytology
• Immunisations and vaccinations (routine and travel where appropriate)
• Wound care and dressings
• Contraception and sexual health advice (where competent)
• Blood pressure monitoring
• Phlebotomy
• ECG recording
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Supporting QOF and enhanced services delivery
• Maintaining accurate clinical records
• Working within practice protocols and NMC guidelines

Scope of practice will be aligned to individual competencies and training.
