We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and motivated Deputy Practice Manager to join our friendly, forward‑thinking GP practice. Woodlands Health Centre is an established GP Training Practice serving a growing and diverse community of over 14,000 patients across Paddock Wood, East Peckham and Five Oak Green. We are a six‑partner practice with a strong clinical, nursing and administrative team and are part of Tonbridge Primary Care Network. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our newly appointed Practice Manager and GP Partners to help shape the future of the Practice. The role combines operational management, finance, governance and business support, helping to ensure the Practice continues to deliver high‑quality, safe and sustainable patient care. You will work as part of the Practice leadership team, supporting the day‑to‑day running of the organisation whilst helping to drive service improvement, financial performance and operational effectiveness.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the operational running of the Practice
  • Assisting with financial management, budgeting and performance reporting
  • Monitoring contracts, claims and income streams including QOF, ARRS, CQRS and enhanced services
  • Supporting payroll, pensions and financial administration processes
  • Overseeing operational projects and service improvements
  • Supporting workforce planning, rotas and people management processes
  • Assisting with governance, compliance and CQC requirements
  • Supporting premises, estates and contractor management
  • Producing reports and performance information for the Practice Manager and Partners
  • Deputising for the Practice Manager when required

  • Knowledge of NHS contracts, enhanced services and claims processes
  • Experience of governance, compliance or CQC requirements
  • Experience of staff supervision, line management or workforce planning
