Training Needs Analysis
We will complete a Training Needs Analysis with you to understand what training would be required to be ready to join Kent Fire & Rescue as an On Call Firefighter. Dependant on the identified needs, we will either:
- Offer to join Kent Fire & Rescue by attending a weekend induction (Saturday and Sunday) - These take place 4 times a year and then to return to station for necessary training to be on the run (to become familiar with Kent's appliances, equipment and operational procedures)
- We may find it would be best for you to complete the training course alongside new recruits which in addition to the induction, you would complete a 2-week foundation training course.
Considerations
- You will need permission from your current Service if applying as secondary employment
- We will request copies of your training and certificates from your current Service as part of pre-employment checks
