The predicted salary is between 28000 - 32000 £ per year.

Location: Service Headquarters, Maidstone – mixture of office and home working – 3 days per week in office (with travel countywide, based on needs)

Hours: Full time – 37 Hours per week

Pension: Automatic membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme – career average pension scheme with 16.5% employer contribution

Holidays: In addition to entitlement to bank/public holidays you will receive 29 days holiday

Base salary: £32,461 - £36,482 per annum depending on experience

As an IT Trainer, you will be supporting colleagues and volunteers across all functions of the organisation to enhance their knowledge of our IT systems, applications and equipment. You will be in part supporting the ongoing transition to Microsoft TEAMS across all staff across all locations. The role will provide a varied work life as part of a small, dedicated team including some opportunity for hybrid working. You will be working with IT experts to provide direct face-to-face support to all KFRS Colleagues across our Estate. You will require a UK Driving License and will be provided access to a Pool Vehicle to travel day-to-day across the County as required.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure colleagues are fully equipped with the necessary IT skills to perform their role to the highest standards
  • Deliver elements of blended learning solutions either face-to-face or via web conferencing software
  • Assist in the design of training for bespoke software and its associated tools
  • Curate training resources to support core systems that include but are not limited to Office 365 and SharePoint
  • Collaborate with colleagues to understand their IT Systems capability and needs, making suggestions for solutions and approaches which can make their roles easier/more efficient

What you’ll bring:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, in particular Microsoft TEAMS
  • Experience of IT Training (Classroom / 121 / Online) - Desirable
  • A demonstrable understanding of evidence-based training practice
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build a rapport with both IT experts and colleagues
  • A positive, engaging and solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to translate technical jargon into plain English
  • A Full Driving License
