Location: Distribution Centre, Maidstone, Loose Road

Hours: Full Time – 37 Hours per Week (08:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday)

Pension: Automatic membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme – career average pension scheme with 18.5% employer contribution

Holidays: In addition to bank/public holidays you will receive 28 days holiday

Base Salary: £28,635 - £31,609 per annum dependant on experience

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain the Operational Equipment Management System (OEMS) to ensure that it is up to date and that equipment is tested on time and is safe to use.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of OEMS ensuring that records are accurate.
  • Add new assets and maintenance cycles, ensuring maintenance records are up to date and archiving records at end of life.
  • Create asset tags and labels for new equipment and damaged tags, securing them to equipment before distribution.
  • Produce reports that highlight when checks and tests have not been completed in a timely fashion.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reports from OEMS to enable compliance with H&S legislation.
  • Contribute to the wider operations of the distribution centre, supporting colleagues in providing an effective, efficient and customer-focused service.

What you’ll bring:

  • A knowledge of asset management systems and the lifecycle of assets.
  • Basic understanding of purchase, maintenance and disposal (lifecycle).
  • An understanding of Health and Safety legislation as it relates to equipment.
  • IT skills specifically Word, Excel and email to maintain the OEMS system.
  • High degree of accuracy for maintenance of records and the database.
  • The ability to produce reports and assess information for anomalies.
  • Experience in working with internal/external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
