An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Social Work Assistant in the Sevenoaks, Swanley, Tonbridge & Malling Children Social Work Team. This is an exciting time to join a growing and dynamic team as we build and consolidate good practice in this area of social work. Training and development are available, and you will receive support and opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills with regular supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with children and families, facilitating family time.
- Provide parenting support and explore healthy relationships and communication.
- Liaise with families, social workers, and partner agencies including police, health and education.
- Deliver high-quality service to children, their families and carers.
Work conditions:
- Hybrid working model with a mix of home and office; the base is at Worrall House, West Malling.
- Expectation to work flexibly across a large geographical area covered by the team.
- Enhanced Disclosure Application required.
- Statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure post holders have sufficient command of spoken English/Welsh.
