We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Business Support Officer to join our Family Hubs team based in Swanley. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of services to children, young people and families across the Sevenoaks District. As the first point of contact for many families, partners and visitors, you will help ensure our Family Hubs provide a welcoming, professional and supportive environment. No two days are the same. One day you may be greeting visitors and supporting a busy community event, whilst the next you could be coordinating meetings, processing financial transactions, updating systems, producing reports or supporting managers with administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be based primarily in Swanley; however, there is an expectation that you will travel to Edenbridge Family Hub at least once each week, with additional travel required at times to provide cover during periods of annual leave, sickness absence or service demand. Working closely with managers, practitioners and partners, you will provide comprehensive administrative and business support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of Family Hub services. Responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a welcoming first point of contact for families, professionals and visitors.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of Family Hubs.
- Coordinating meetings, preparing paperwork and taking accurate notes where required.
- Monitoring shared mailboxes and responding to enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate records and electronic systems.
- Supporting financial and procurement processes.
- Producing professional correspondence, reports and documents.
- Monitoring health and safety information and supporting local compliance processes.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders across the district.
- Providing flexible support across Family Hub locations when required., This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Previous administrative experience is essential.
